According to a press release, the documentary special will feature “interviews with the queens, never-before-seen footage, casting reels, and striking photography from set,” giving fans an unprecedented look behind the cameras.

In a new trailer for the special, fans get a look at the queens talking in confessionals about what it took to put on the new season. “They were doing everything in their power to make sure that COVID didn’t rain on this parade,” contestant Utica Queen says. Tamisha Iman chimes in, adding, “I survived corona, I survived cancer … I’m not gonna tell you what else I survived. Just trust me — I survived some things.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race: Corona Can’t Keep a Good Queen Down will air Friday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m. ET, followed the next week by a new episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race on March 5. Check out the full trailer for the documentary special below:
