Monday will be a warm to hot day for most parts of the country while the central and northern parts will have isolated showers, the South African Weather Service says.

It will be partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers in Gauteng.

Mpumalanga will be partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in places on the Highveld.

It will become cloudy with drizzle along the escarpment in the evening.

Limpopo will be partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Fine and cool to warm conditions can be expected in the North West, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east.

It will be a fine and warm to hot day in the Free State , becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the south-west, but scattered in the east as well as along the Lesotho border.

The Northern Cape will be fine and warm to hot over the interior, but cool along the coast.

It will become partly cloudy in the east in the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly becoming strong in the afternoon.

In the Western Cape, it will be cloudy along the south and south-west coast, as well as the north-eastern parts at first, otherwise fine and cool to warm, but hot to very hot over the interior.

The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly to south-easterly becoming strong in the afternoon, otherwise moderate south-westerly in the south.

The western part of the Eastern Cape will be cloudy in the north and east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

On the eastern half, it will be cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain, but warm in the north with scattered showers and thundershowers.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming southerly mid-morning.

There will be morning fog over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but warm in the north. It will become cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers from late morning.

The wind along the coast will be light and variable north of Richards Bay at first, otherwise moderate southerly to south-westerly, becoming south-easterly to easterly in the afternoon.
