Setting up the Bitcoin HODL Light

To take advantage of Bitcoin HODL light’s full features, you will need a phone with Bluetooth and a WiFi connection. You will also need a drill if you choose to wall mount the light. However, the good news is that you can set it up on the provided stand without having to drill holes in your walls if you live in a rented apartment.
First, connect the controller to the HODL light (make sure the arrows on the connector are aligned). Then, make sure to attach the plastic shell to the connectors.
Next, connect the power adapter to the controller.
Now, attach the plug of your choice to the power adapter. CRYPTOTAG will provide you with several plugs so you can choose the one that your outlet supports. Depending on your country, a different plug will fit in your wall socket. The plugs can be easily interchanged at any point in time.
Once you plug in the power adapter, you will see the HODL light turn on and light up in all its glory!
The Bitcoin HODL light will flash red by default until you connect it to your phone. If it’s not flashing, make sure to hold the power button for five seconds, so it goes into pairing mode and starts blinking in the color red.
Next, turn on the WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone. You will also need to download and install the Tuya Smart app on your phone. The app is available on both Android and iOS devices.
Once you install the app and create an account, follow the steps to add the device. Remember that you will need an active WiFi connection to a router to complete the setup, as the light will connect via the WiFi connection on the router.
Note: If you’re having trouble connecting the device, ensure that the WiFi network you’re trying to pair it to is a 2.4Ghz network, not a 5Ghz network.
Once the device is added to the app, the blinking will stop, and you will have an option to customize the color to your liking. You can also choose several color profiles to alternate the color of the Bitcoin HODL sign.

The easiest way is to mount the HODL light on a stand as you simply slide the LED light into the stand.
CRYPTOTAG includes a full kit to mount your HODL light on a wall, full with a set of screws, sign spacers, and wall plugs.
If you just want to hand the Bitcoin HODL light on a pair of nails, you can use the sign spacers to connect the metal chords, making it easy to hand the light on a wall.
Luckily, CRYPTOTAG includes a relatively long power chord that makes hanging the Bitcoin HODL light extremely easy, as it doesn’t have to be directly next to an outlet.
