Victoria has recorded 1749 new locally acquired Covid-19 infections on Tuesday as health authorities identify 25,000 people who they want to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Eleven Victorians died in the past 24 hours, health officials also confirmed.
About 88.5 per cent of Victorians above the age of 16 have received one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, while 66.7 per cent were fully vaccinated.

Covid-19 response commander Jeroen Weimar said if those individuals got their first doses health officials would have greater confident the community would be further protected against Covid-19 as it reopened.
He also said there were a number of northern and inner suburbs where vaccine take-up was lower than other parts of Melbourne and Victoria.
“The range of reasons is around individual groups not wanting to come forward and get vaccinated,” he said on Monday.
“As we see the rest of the city go beyond 85 and go to 90 per cent (first dose) those remaining islands of lack of vaccine uptake are becoming identified and becoming clear.
“That is why we have been driving at those locations with pop-ups and other community-based pop-ups, we will keep doing that because we want everyone to have no excuse not to get vaccinated over the days and weeks ahead.”
Melbourne and parts of regional Victoria will emerge from lockdown on 11.59pm on Thursday night, with the state expected to hit its 70 per cent double vaccination rate by then.
Restrictions to leave home as well as the curfew will be scrapped.
There will be no travel limit within metropolitan Melbourne, but authorised travel to enter regional Victoria will still be required.
Ten visitors, including dependants, will be able to visit someone’s home per day.
There will also be a staggered return of grade 3 and year 11 students in metropolitan Melbourne schools from Friday.
